This number is definitely a scam caller. Called me saying they were from some secure company in Mascot. Asked if I had made a transaction to the US for $8000. I had asked which bank this was from to which they said Commonwealth which I guess is the most commonly used bank in Australia. Anyways, they asked if used third party apps, PayPal or bank to make payments and told me not to use PayPal and to pay through my bank as it’s most secured. They were able to provide a name for the person it was supposedly sent to but when asked what the name for the account that the money came from, they could not provide an answer. If it was my account, the least they could do is confirm my name which they didn’t after asking twice. Hung up the phone, if it was truly a Breach of security on my account they would have called back and they didn’t. Please beware.
