Gumtree scammer, claiming to have items that I had a wanted add for, lost $130. Paid via pay I’d phone number. Won’t answer phone calls. Has been reported to appropriate authorities.
This person contacted me through a Gumtree Wanted ad, saying they had a sewing machine piece I was looking for. They claimed to be from interstate, so would have to mail the part. They requested my address + email, sent me a mobile number to deposit money (no BSB, no way to locate where people are). Before agreeing to send anything, I checked the number + another one they had given me and saw all these reviews. Scam avoided, thank you for your reviews.
