What Messages from 0410 009 172 Contain
Contributors who received SMS from 0410 009 172 describe messages promoting outdoor blinds and roofing with vague promises of savings. This vagueness is typical of promotional spam where the goal is to capture contact information or drive traffic rather than deliver legitimate savings.

WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
Is 0410 009 172 a scam or just spam?
Based on community reports, 0410009172 appears to be a spam marketing SMS sender rather than a financial scam. The messages promote outdoor blinds and roofing deals with exaggerated language, but they're not impersonating banks or government agencies. However, the artificial urgency ("reply before midnight") and "deal of a lifetime" language are red flags. Treat any SMS from 0410 009 172 as unsolicited marketing and do not engage.
What should I do if I already replied to a message from 0410 009 172?
If you replied Y or N (or any response) to 0410009172, you've confirmed your number is active, which may lead to more spam. Block 0410 009 172 immediately and monitor your phone for additional messages. Do not provide any personal information or financial details. If the sender follows up asking for contact details or payment information, report that message to ACMA at 0429 999 888 and Reverseau.
Should I call back to unsubscribe from 0410 009 172?
No. Do not call 0410009172 back. Calling confirms your number is active and monitored, which often results in more spam calls and SMS. Instead, block the number in your phone settings and report it to ACMA. Legitimate businesses include unsubscribe instructions within messages; the absence of an unsubscribe link in messages from 0410 009 172 suggests the sender has no interest in respecting opt-out requests.
Could 0410 009 172 be a spoofed number?
It's possible. Spam senders often use spoofed numbers to hide their real identity and avoid detection. The Vodafone allocation for 0410009172 indicates it was originally assigned as a Vodafone mobile number, but the actual sender may be using software to mask their identity. Regardless, treat any unsolicited SMS from 0410 009 172 as spam and block it.
Is the 'outdoor blinds and roofing deal' legitimate?
The vague language in messages from 0410 009 172 ("massive savings," "deal of a lifetime," no specific pricing) suggests it's not a genuine retail offer. Legitimate businesses provide clear details about products, pricing, and company information. The artificial deadline demanding Y or N before midnight is a manipulation tactic designed to prevent you from thinking clearly or researching the offer. Ignore it.
How do I stop receiving spam SMS on my Australian phone?
Register your number at donotcall.gov.au to opt out of unsolicited marketing calls and SMS. However, existing spam should be reported separately to ACMA at 0429 999 888. Block 0410 009 172 in your phone settings, and report it here on Reverseau to warn others. If spam persists, contact your provider (Vodafone in this case) and ask them to investigate the source.
