The phone number 0404 731 415 / 0404731415 has raised red flags among users, primarily due to its utilisation of spam tactics mimicking Australia Post delivery notifications. Multiple reports indicate that the number has sent SMS messages purporting to be related to parcel deliveries that never took place.

On 9 December 2022, users shared experiences receiving an SMS that claimed, " We tried to deliver your parcel but nobody was available to accept it." The message instructed recipients to follow a link for redelivery, a common practice seen in scams aimed at gathering personal information or spreading malware. Another message cited included vague reminders about a package supposedly sitting at a depot, along with a suspicious link.

Given the context and the consistent patterns noted in user feedback, it’s reasonable to classify 0404 731 415 / 0404731415 as a spam number potentially linked to a phishing scam. These types of scams typically exploit the trust customers have in reputable courier businesses, using urgent language to encourage action without giving the recipient time to question the legitimacy of the communication.

  • Suspicious Claims: Messages suggest failed delivery attempts without any real context.
  • No Legitimate Payment Methods: Genuine courier companies provide direct contact information and processes.
  • Avoid Links: The hyperlinks provided within these messages are often redirecting to scam websites designed to harvest personal data.

For individuals that receive communications from 0404 731 415 / 0404731415, the best course of action is to ignore the message and block the number. Verification through official channels is paramount—if you have a real parcel in transit, consult the Australia Post website or contact their customer service directly. Engaging with such spam messages can lead to further issues.

In conclusion, beware of any unsolicited messages that ask you to act quickly or follow links for deliveries. Always trust your instincts and verify through credible sources, protecting yourself against the rising tide of spamming scams. It's a Scam.

I received an SMS message as follows:

"<AUPOST-NOTE> We tried to deliver your parcel but nobody was available to accept it. To get it redelivered, please follow the following steps." A hyperlink was then provided. As I was available at all times at my address to accept any deliveries, and as Australia Post, if no one is available to accept a parcel, either leave it at the front door or leave a message as to from which local post office the parcel can be picked up, this message has got to be a scam.

Any message like this should be treated as a scam and ignored and deleted.
