Can you please contact me about this I have a question.
Exact same experience as that noted above. So I sent him a link to this thread and haven't heard back :-D.
Same story as everyone else- 'Dean' contacted me about an item I was selling on Gumtree, he was being very flirty but I agreed to meet him as he sounded very keen to buy my item 'for his sister', offered to buy me a coffee etc etc (something didn't quite feel right) so just thought I'd Google the number and name. This thread popped up, and I was glad I had looked this up! I told him I wouldn't be able to meet but my husband would be there on my behalf. Needless to say, never heard back from him!
Same thing happened for me, Asked to view my car I have for sale to buy for his sister. Said I had a beautiful name offered to bring me a coffee. SCAM!!!
I had exactly the same thing happen (19/5/2017) texts me at 6 in the morning about my car add.
Says his name in deano and asks why I'm selling.
Requested me to tell him my name after I purposely avoided it. And said he was looking at it for his sister.
Asked where I was then asked when a good time to view the car and catch up for coffee.
Once I said my dad and brother would be in charge of selling the car as it's in my dads name I haven't heard from him.
Just received exactly the same - beautiful name, coffee etc. Creepy as hell. Hate to think how it would have ended if I hadn't looked the number up. Name is Dean and sounds like a bogan.
Just had the same message from creepy Dean. As soon as I said my husband was home and could show him the car he disappeared. So glad I didn't answer any of his personal questions.
Also has the same situation happened as all the previous, asked to meet for coffee, said I have a beautiful name and that I seem nice. Was all round creepy.
I have just received the response from dean. All info is precisely the same as the comments made on this page. Does he want a date or is he gathering info to burgle our house??
I just had texts from this number asking about the car I am selling. They asked a few details about why I am selling and told me they are buying for their sister.
Asked for my name and area which is already on the car sales ads and then asked when they can catch up and meet for coffee.
Scam. They are looking for someone selling something and they pretend they are potential buyers asking for your name, address, work, if you have kids or not. Whatever you say just tell the oposite. And watch out.
Agree with above, a creep sending spam.
