The caller claimed to be from immigration, but I believe this is entirely false.
Annoying scam seems most verify numbers are active. This one should have been stopped by now. Enabled by our own National Broadband Network Telstra who won't stop anything no matter how often or long it's been used. We could easily have laws to make them block all and we allow them to monitor for security using ai and they do nothing with the ability we have. Should we remove the monitor system as it's not prevented a single security risk so far. Mostly it blocks access outbound to protect foreign revenue. Fed up with the intrusion if it's not used for us and misused by mandatory NGO data dumps which could easily be a source of the problem as no regulations apply nor are they listed in our country. Tell your federal rep. Use it or lose it.
I received an unidentified emergency message that asked me to press 1 for English and 2 for Chinese. When I attempted to call the number back, I encountered an automated message saying I was the third caller in line but was disconnected when it was my turn.
I was warned not to call this number back, as it is linked to scammers based in Asia. They can track your phone number and may call you again from different numbers. It’s best to block them immediately.
Strange call.
It did not sound Chinese. Other Asian language.
Asian tape. Clearly spam. Sick of it. Do not answer 03 and 02 numbers anymore.
I got a call from this number, and the message left was in Chinese.
Didn't answer as it was an unknown number. Voice mail received. English voice said press 2 then Asian voice - unknown message.
I did not answer the call, but they left an automated voicemail warning that my “phone number will be suspended from service.” The message was then repeated in Chinese.
I received a call from this number on a Saturday, and I suspect it is a scam call based on the timing and lack of information provided.
When I picked up, a female voice started speaking in a language I couldn't understand, likely an Asian language.
The caller rang my phone but didn't leave a message. Interestingly, I received another call just 60 seconds later from a different number, which is likely related to the same caller.
This caller, using an autodialer, pretended to represent Vodafone. They stated, "Your details are incomplete. Please confirm your information or your service will be cut off in 2 hours." I recognized it as a scam and hung up immediately.
I received a recorded message stating that I am receiving this call because I missed an important government message, then the call proceeded to speak in an Asian language.
Scam, connected to a “Chinese department”
Did not leave a message. Called back anonymously and it was a Chinese recorded message. Blocked!!!!
The call disconnected suddenly when I answered. When I attempted to call back, the phone was answered in a language I couldn't understand, which makes me suspicious.
