Indian “Jason from Telstra Security” (poor English - busy call centre) claims that my ip address has been flagged as being changed from private to public and was being used for “very bad things”

Ok - can I just say, if these losers wanted us to believe they were from a security team, they would not have the noisy call centre background.

Anyways, claims that I must have changed the settings. Told him no. He said yes, I said no. He said yes. We did this dance for a bit before I became bored.

He said I needed to put my phone on speaker so I could read out my ip address.

I said my phone doesn’t have speaker. Also told him I don’t have an ip address. He said “yes you do” I said “no I don’t”. He argued, I kept telling him he had the wrong person.

He then said “well bitch, how do you check your email?”

I said “I don’t have email. What is email?”

He then started yelling and carrying on, so I abused him, hung up and blocked.

I get that not every state has a Public Holiday today, but I just want one day scammer free.
