Claim to be from National Broadband Network and then something about Amazon. Told them they were a scam and they were not scamming me so have a great day scamming and then hung up.
Claimed to be from commonwealth bank and someone from America was trying to debit $800 from my account. Asked what platform phone I used (apple or android) and that they were going to transfer me to someone to verify my identity. Voice sounded like it was being digitally manipulated.
Answered and took a second to connect, once I had said hello a few times they said "hello mam I'm calling from Telstra regarding your internet." And them said something about hoe my connection had gone from private to public.
I do not have a connection with Telstra but I also know this is bs so I just said no thank you and hang up.
I'm 100% sure this was a scam, please be careful.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of receiving a scam call, and I must say it was an incredibly frustrating and concerning encounter. Scam callers are individuals or groups who attempt to deceive innocent people over the phone to gain access to their personal information, financial details, or even extort money. In this review, I will outline my experience and highlight the reasons why it is crucial to remain vigilant and informed in dealing with these fraudulent callers.
My encounter with the scam caller began when I received an unexpected call from an unfamiliar number. The caller claimed to be a representative from a reputable financial institution, stating that there was an issue with my account. They employed persuasive tactics, using a sense of urgency to convince me to take immediate action. The caller insisted on obtaining my personal information, including my bank account details, social security number, and other sensitive data.
However, I became suspicious and decided to terminate the call without providing any information. Sensing my reluctance, the caller quickly resorted to threats, claiming that my bank account would be frozen if I didn't comply. This aggressive behaviour only reinforced my suspicions that this was a scam. I promptly hung up and reported the incident to my bank and the appropriate authorities.
Called from this number saying they were PayPal and an amount of $299.00 was to be debited.
Hung up.
Called, saying he was from National Broadband Network and that I wasn't getting the internet speeds I should. When I told him I don't have National Broadband Network he switched to my mobile data. I told him no, the speeds are fine and he hung up.
This is a financial scam call. A recorded message claims an online shopping purchase of A$999 has been made on your bank account and urges you to press 1 to cancel or 2 to approve. The voice has a neutral Australian accent but sounds computer-generated and mispronounces the word "shopping."
I received a call from this number claiming to be from NBN (National Broadband Network), but the conversation quickly turned to something related to Amazon, which I found suspicious.
I did not answer the call as I have blocked unknown area numbers. When I tried to return the call from a private mobile, either the line was busy or they did not answer. This feels like a scam.
