The caller keeps ringing and claims that my Visa card has been cancelled due to an unusually high number of purchases, which has me concerned.
She said from Amazon Security... Hung up straight away and checked here = scam.
This is a scammer (sounded like an Indian accent). Claimed to be from Telstra and telling that my internet line was in danger. He gave me what he told me was my IP address that was being compromised. I don't have Telstra and when I challenged him on what he was saying, he hung up.
SCAMMER! Claiming to be commonwealth bank calling about an international transaction. When I said I don’t have a commonwealth account they hung up.
Scammer - Called insisting they were commonwealth bank security.
A Indian sounding man identifying himself as Mark told me that I had funds of $495 not authorised to be deposited into a commonwealth account. I said that’s interesting I don’t know about that. He asked if I had access to a computer or does somebody I know have access to a computer. I said sorry I can’t help him. I said I don’t want to help him and I think he’s trying to scam me. Then he started calling me a mother so and so.
I hung up.

Received a call on my landline in WA today at 3.50 pm. I did not answer as I do not know anyone on this number. After reading other comments this is a scam call.

Scam caller. Googled the number and didn't bother picking up.
This number called me, said they were from commonwealth bank and that they saw some suspicious activity and money had been transferred to an American account. I then said I bank with westpac just to see where they were going with this call and then they tried to say that commonwealth is headquarters for westpac and that my local branch would not be able to help me.
Tried to get time to download an app called Zoho Assist Customer and log into my bank and do card less cash.

The caller claimed to be from Telstra Billing and addressed me by my first name, which made it clear that they had obtained my number from somewhere. It seems to be an obvious scam because I am not a Telstra customer.
