While I was in Japan, I received a call that appeared to come from a Japanese number, specifically (03) 9871 7447, shortly after another call from the same number. It is evident to me that these calls are linked, and I strongly believe they are scams.
Someone called claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank inquiring about an unauthorized transaction. After I confirmed the transaction, they hung up when I asked them to repeat themselves.
Scam re CBA.
I chose not to answer this flagged number, hoping scammers would realize that calling my phone is a waste of their time.
