    On 26 May 2022, I received very similar message as yours, the only difference is that they said " we are working with your local community dental clinic - Link Health to offer dental care to people on the general dental care wait list if they are still interested.

    You are receiving this message because you are on the Link Health general dental care wait list...."

    Then they ask me to complete an Oral Health Questionaire to the link they provide...

    What they said seemed very trustworthy because in fact I am on the wait list of Link Health Dental Care, so I clicked on the link and answered the questionnaire and did not call number 03 9341 1700 to check the credibility of this message.

    Today.18/07/2022I received another message from them, saying that " Thank you for completing your Oral Health Questionnaire. Here is a voucher to use at a private dentist. Password is your postcode. NOREPLY.

    Qtz.cc/9RfyD.

    I suspect this is a scam, so I didn't click the link and researched for info about this phone number (3) 9341 1700. Now I believe this is a scam, and reported to the authority about it. Hope this can help people realize how sophisticated scammers are these days!!!

    Today I recieved 2 text messages from ph number 03 93411700 saying it was DHSV, which, when I looked up the letters, was Dental Health Services Victoria. The message began with my christian name and said, quote, ' we are working with your local community dental clinic - Latrobe CHS to offer dental care to people on the general dental care wait list if they are still interested. You are receiving this text message because you are on the Latrobe CHS general dental care wait list. Another text message will be sent later today with a link to a questionnaire. This questionnaire asks you about what's been happening in your mouth and helps us refresh our records. If you have any concerns about the credibility of this message or need some help completing the questionnaire please call us on 03 93411700. Please note: to be eligible for dental care at one of our clinics you must have a current Consession Card. Please do not reply to this message.'

    At this point I was suss, as I thought 'what's been going on in your mouth' was a very odd thing to text. The next message reads, 'we sent you a text message earlier today because you are on the Latrobe CHS general dental care waitlist. We want to make sure we are offering you the right care at the right time. Before we can make your appointment please take5-10 minutes to complete your Oral Health Questionnaire here: sforce.co/38nxX19 If you are no longer interested in receiving care please let us know via the questionnaire. If you have any concerns about the credibility of this message or need help completing the questionnaire please call us on 03 93411700. The number 03-93411700 has been sent on a SMS with a VIC HEALTH title but a link they are trying to get you to click on is a UK base sforce.co/3Km3MyU and very much like a lot of scam attachments, the number does not fall into the standard Vic Health numbers, be careful, l am blocking.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
