The scammer said they were from “Telstra Technical Department” because my internet speed has been slowing down the last few days. When I said that I don’t have internet with Telstra they said that every company like Optus, Vodafone, and TPG use the Telstra internet network and that’s why they need to speak to me. I told him that’s completely inaccurate, that it’s obvious he’s a scammer because Optus in particular is an entirely separate service provider. He sputtered and said “that’s not, what, how can you say that?” I asked to be put on their do not call list, but he hung up.
