Three contributors have reported suspicious activity from 03 9072 0961 (also written as 0390720961). What Callers from 03 9072 0961 Do

The behaviour pattern from 03 9072 0961 follows a classic robocall-and-callback strategy. When the number calls, it either disconnects instantly or plays a brief recorded message. The American accent in the automated response is notable - many international callback scams use non-Australian voices to obscure origin.

Contributors who returned the call to 0390720961 reached an automated service rather than a live person. This setup is typical of callback lure schemes: the initial call triggers curiosity or concern, prompting the recipient to call back, at which point they may be charged premium rates, prompted for personal information, or transferred to a scam operator.

Report Patterns and Behaviour

All three reports of 03 9072 0961 came from recipients who answered the call. Two took the next step of calling back (after blocking their caller ID for safety), while one hung up immediately. The consistency of the American-accented automated message across two separate reports suggests this is a systematic operation rather than a one-off malfunction.

The timing and method indicate 0390720961 is operating as an automated dialling campaign. Contributors did not report any verbal message content beyond the automated greeting, limiting information about what the scam operator might claim if reached on callback.
