Debt Collection Impersonation Reports for 03 9068 6252
Twelve contributors have flagged calls and SMS messages from 03 9068 6252 (also written as 0390686252) for impersonating legitimate debt collection companies and government agencies. The pattern is consistent: callers claim to represent Access Mercantile, Origin Energy debt collection, or Ambulance Victoria, demanding payment for debts the recipients do not owe. One contributor's detailed report noted that when they searched the number, results showed activity linked to both Australia and India, and critically, the number provided for Ambulance Victoria did not match the official agency's actual contact details. Optus has flagged 0390686252 as a possible scam caller.
The impersonation tactic is particularly concerning because contributors report no written communication or formal documentation being sent. One contributor specifically warned that the absence of proper debt collection procedures combined with the number's flagged status makes it highly likely to be a scam operation, urging others to block both calls and SMS messages from 03 9068 6252.
What Callers from 03 9068 6252 Claim
Contributors report several distinct impersonation attempts from this number. One caller claimed to represent Access Mercantile demanding payment for an alleged Ambulance Victoria debt. Another mentioned Origin Energy debt collection. A third report described a caller identifying as a Swiss wellness consultant selling vitamins, suggesting the number may be used for multiple fraud campaigns. SMS messages have impersonated Transurban toll notices, claiming overdue toll charges of $58.90 from Maddison Dean.
Callers frequently use the wrong names when contacting recipients, indicating they are working from generic lists rather than verified information. When contributors questioned the legitimacy of these claims or asked for clarification, callers either hung up or became difficult to understand, suggesting robotic or heavily accented voices reading from scripts.
Call Patterns and Timing
Contributors report aggressive call frequency from 0390686252. One recipient documented receiving 4 calls per day from this number, with calls continuing even in the evening (reported at 7 PM). Another contributor noted receiving calls every week combined with accompanying SMS messages. The persistent nature of contact despite being ignored or questioned suggests an automated dialling system.
One contributor reported that Optus automatically flagged 03 9068 6252 as a possible scam caller, indicating the carrier's fraud detection systems have identified suspicious patterns. The number is registered to Symbio Networks in Victoria as a local service, but contributors report activity traced to both Australia and India, suggesting possible spoofing or misuse of the registered number.

If 0390686252 calls you:

WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
Why is 03 9068 6252 calling me about a debt I don't have?
This is likely a scam. Contributors report that 0390686252 uses generic debt lists and impersonates legitimate companies like Access Mercantile, Origin Energy, and government agencies like Ambulance Victoria to create pressure for payment. Real debt collectors and government agencies send written notices first and can verify your personal details before discussing any debt. If you receive a call from 03 9068 6252 claiming you owe money, hang up and verify the debt directly by contacting the supposed creditor using the phone number on your official documentation, never using a number provided by the caller.
Is 0390686252 actually a legitimate business number?
The number 0390686252 is registered to Symbio Networks in Victoria as a local service, but contributors have documented that it is being used for scam calls. One detailed report noted that when 03 9068 6252 was searched, activity appeared linked to both Australia and India, and the false Ambulance Victoria contact information provided by callers did not match official agency numbers. Optus has flagged 03 9068 6252 as a possible scam caller. This suggests the registered number is either compromised, spoofed, or being misused for fraudulent purposes.
What should I do if 0390686252 claims to represent Ambulance Victoria?
This is almost certainly fraudulent. One contributor specifically noted that 03 9068 6252 impersonated Ambulance Victoria regarding a fake debt, but the contact number provided by the caller was not Ambulance Victoria's actual phone number. Government agencies do not conduct initial debt collection via unsolicited calls. If you have genuine concerns about any Ambulance Victoria bill, contact them directly using the number on your official statement, never by responding to an incoming call from 0390686252.
Why do I keep receiving multiple calls per day from 03 9068 6252?
Contributors report that 0390686252 calls persistently, with one recipient documenting 4 calls per day. Another report noted that callers respond with robotic or difficult-to-understand voices and hang up when questioned, indicating an automated dialling system. This suggests 03 9068 6252 is using robocall technology to contact multiple people rapidly. Block the number immediately and report it to the ACMA at acma.gov.au to help prevent others from being targeted.
I received an SMS from 0390686252 about a Transurban toll debt. Is this real?
Contributors report receiving SMS messages from 0390686252 impersonating Transurban toll notices, claiming overdue charges. This is likely a scam. Real toll companies and creditors do not conduct initial collections via SMS with links or payment requests. Do not click any links or reply to the message. Instead, visit Transurban's official website directly (do not use links from the SMS) and log into your account to check for genuine debts. Report the SMS to 0429 999 888 and block 03 9068 6252 from sending further messages.
What makes 03 9068 6252 different from other spam numbers?
While many spam numbers involve telemarketing or scams, 0390686252 is specifically dangerous because it impersonates government agencies and legitimate debt collectors with no written follow-up documentation. One contributor's research revealed activity linked to both Australia and India, and noted that false contact details were provided for Ambulance Victoria. The combination of persistent robocalls (up to 4 per day), impersonation of multiple different entities from a single number, and the absence of any formal written communication makes 03 9068 6252 a high-confidence scam operation requiring immediate blocking and reporting.
