    This number keeps calling 03 9038 3887 added to blocked numbers list but its getting to be a joke why if these numbers are nuisance callers aren't they blocked or is it a matter of money as the tele co's are getting paid for the landline so won't block or disconnect?

    It's been calling me for quite a while I never answered it as I have a voicemail. If it is important it will leave a message on the voicemail but it never did.. Only proves that it is a scammer trying to catch someone out..

    One call from this number around 5:30pm 19/7/2017. It rang 3 times then ceased. Conforms to usual pattern for these criminal automated dialers to confirm active numbers. Telco's should automatically disconnect such numbers after a few complaints like this!

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
