Save stuff, this time a guy named Edward Smith, gave me the same number, address he gave me is 58 Elder Street South Melbourne, hang up when I question more,
On Tuesday, May 19, about 11AM, a lady rang and said she was from IT Care Dept of Telstra, our internet connection is faulty and they need to gain access to fix it, and threaten to disconnect my internet if I do not co-operate. I am aware of this scam because I got these calls in the past. But over the past three weeks, they have been calling my number (0393985156) more often than before (twice a week) and they are getting more professional. When I asked then phone number to call back and their adrress, they did not hang up immediately as before. This time she gave me her name, even staff ID number, a valid phone number and company address (fault) as I provided in scammer details. I rang the number back today, they let the phone rang out (I heard a click as if the call was diverted). Then about 15 minutes later, someone rang me back. I asked to speak to Agnes Brown, the person who rang on Tueday. This gentleman awares of the name and said she is not available, he confirmed he is from IT Care Dept of Telstra. I said my internet is not even with Telstra! Then I told him I know about their scam. He hang up!
