Received a call about 3 hours ago as well. I thought it was a scam. Thanks everyone for posting similar info confirming that it is a scam.
They left me a voicemail saying Me and my family are under investigation for tax fraud and a law suit has been made against us.
Scam call pretending to from the Tax Office. Hang up immediately. They'll try to get you to confirm your details then say there's a law suit filed in your name for tax fraud and the Federal Police have an arrest warrant out for you. To retract so called arrest warrant you need to pay the fine immediately.
The ATO would never try to contact you via phone or email.
Receieved a call from this number, it's a pre-recorded call. It said call from ATO and I involved a case with my family, and given a number to call back.
Firstly, I have ATO linked to my. Gov account, they can inform me by messaging me there.

This number just called and it was a recorded message telling me I am being charged with taxation fraud.
This number called me this morning and said they were calling from Australian taxation office and left message : they have called you many times but could not reach you and now a case file hd been opened for the fault of your tax issue and then asked you to call them back.
Received a call purpotedly from the ATO, it was a machine telling me that I'm under Fraud investigation and the machine gave me a number to call back. Obviously I'm not calling back!.
This is a scam, I do all my tax return through an accountant and haven't received any mail about that.

The message was saying that this is the TAX Department and they are filing charges for me and my family for TAX FRAUD and that I should call them on some other number to confirm my details.

Received a call from this number this morning and a computer voice left me a voicemail which was concerning. When a call back a lady with a Filipino ascent answered saying that it was the ATO. She asked who I was and then we lost the call (or she hanged up). A scam for sure.

I got a call from this number, an automated voice said ATO has filed a case against me for fraud. This number looks like a scam.
Don't fall for this SCAM which pretends to be from the ATO who are supposedly preparing a Tax fraud case against you.
The voice is computer generated and totally bogus. The ATO would never approach a tax payer in this way.
