Male caller claimed to be from Telstra Security with an alert that someone had hacked my account.
I’m not with Telstra, so told him I was not able to talk, but could call him back in 5 minutes (not the case - I have all the time in the world on my hands) and asked him for a number to call him on.
Scammer told me it was not possible to call him back as he needed to speak to me right now. I said again that I couldn’t talk and this is when he got rather verbally aggressive.
This only solidified my thoughts that this was a scammer, so I hung up and blocked.

Just received a call from this number. Before saying “you shouldn’t have answered” I must point out I’m looking for work and don’t know the numbers of the companies I applied with.
Anyway, male caller. Fakest attempt at an Aussie accent I’ve ever heard.
Male claimed to be “John from Telstra Security” said he had an urgent matter to deal with and asked was I “Becky”. I said no (I’m legit not Becky but even if I was I would have said no)
Male then said “I believe you are Becky and your number is 04 ** *** ***”
I said “NO!!!!!”
He said “was that a no, or a yes I’m Becky”
I said “neither, but I’m going to hang up on you” he then said “listen bitch this is important and is regarding your account which has been hacked”
I said “it hasn’t as I’m not with Telstra”
He then went into a tirade of abuse - at the top of his voice. I could hear others in the background yelling same things so I can only assume this is a scammers paradise in the background.
Hung up and blocked.
