Impersonation Reports for 03 8872 7901

Three contributors have reported calls from 03 8872 7901 (also written as 0388727901) involving callers who refuse to identify themselves or their company affiliation. The pattern shows callers with heavy non-Australian accents using pressure tactics and vague claims about modems and business accounts that recipients don't possess.

The most concerning aspect of reports about 0388727901 is the caller's deliberate evasion when asked for identification. Two separate contributors noted the caller would not provide their name or company details, instead claiming reception problems whenever questioned. This obfuscation is a classic impersonation tactic.

What Callers from 03 8872 7901 Claim

One contributor received a call from 03 8872 7901 asking about a modem and business account. When the recipient provided incorrect information to test the caller's legitimacy, the caller immediately ended the conversation, unable to continue without matching profile details. This suggests the caller was working from a database of names and addresses but lacked deeper verification capacity.

In other reports about 0388727901, callers repeatedly blamed reception problems as an excuse to avoid clear communication. When contributors pressed for details about which company the caller represented, they received evasive responses rather than direct answers. One contributor specifically noted the caller claimed no association with any company they mentioned, yet continued the unsolicited call.

Call Patterns and Timing

The three reports about 03 8872 7901 span nearly three weeks, with at least one incoming call on 27 February, another on 5 March, and a missed call on 19 March. Two of the three reports show the caller reached through and spoke with the recipient, while one was a missed call. The repeated contact pattern suggests systematic dialling rather than a one-off misdial.

All reports indicate the calls were entirely unsolicited. Contributors had no prior relationship or business with the number 0388727901, making the caller's claims about modems and business accounts particularly suspicious.
