What Our Users Reviewed
I'm calling it telemarketing rather than scam but I'm on the fence about which it is actually.
They said they were calling from "Superannuation Compare" and they knew my name. They didn't seem to be scamming per say, I assume they would operate on some kind of commission based system and suggest other superannuation companies to my own, but that those companies probably pay to be recommended. They seemed to imply they may have had information about my super already which is possible since they already knew my name and number but they might have just been fishing.
The conversation was ended quite abruptly when I said "No Thankyou" which I was fairly grateful of since they didn't try and keep me biting. Most signs just point to irritating telemarketing rather than a scam but what has me a little unsure is that there's no mention I can find online of any company called "Superannuation Compare" and the only record of this number online is from this site with at least some people declaring it a scam which is definitely worrying.
One way or the other, the likelihood that one would be receiving quality useful advice from what's clearly a large call centre operation cold calling people and with no viable way to find information about them except what they tell you in the phone call if you happen to ask are pretty much zero so I wouldn't trust these guys in any case anyway.
This is scam. I asked them 'why do I need to answer your question?' then they hang up the call without saying anything. Pretty rude as well.
Thank you for your post, it helps people figure out if missed calls are scams. Thank you again ❤️.
Selling insurance.
Looking for information about who my super is with and how much I have so they could help me make more money.
Cold calls asking for this detail is just wrong.
Received call from this number on an "opportunity" to make money and when I said not interested, they hung up. Shortly received another call from 02 7251 2506, also similar scam but from another person. He was a little more agressive.
When you call back "the number you are calling is unavailable" SCAM.
