    This number has been calling me multiple times a day for a few weeks. Finally I decided to answer. Could tell immediately it was a call centre generated call due to time delay. Aussie accent michael claiming to be aami insurance and wanting to confirm my identity by saying yes to my name and providing dob address etc. I declined and said how do I know you are not a scam. A few other words exchanged they they hung up. Next I called AAMI and was advised they DO NOT make marketing or other types of calls from Melbourne numbers and all their calls originate from Brisbane at the SUNCORP (aami owner) offices. They checked all internal records relating to contact by them to me or me to them and the last call was months ago. This is a dud caller. Do not answer and block.

    Had a call twice this morning with no one there and no message. Seems to be telemarketing and not worth following up.

    I had the same thing so it sounds dubious. If they don't leave a voicemail message they're not worthy of me calling them back.

    Call on 7/12/2017.

    Unanswered.

    No message left.

    Similar to known telemarketer numbers.

    Therefore: most likely telemarketer or spam.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
