We have been experiencing a lot of various scams targeting us on a weekly basis.

This number is not associated with Telstra. I called the number back and received a message stating that it could not be connected. They recently called me and left a 101 message, which further indicates that it's a scam.

Whoever it is is calling a landline that isn't used (but logs are monitored). Not sure why National Broadband Network forces us to have a landline number that we don't want and don't use but have to pay for.

S
Stroman

An unsolicited call came from a Melbourne number stating that my landline would be going down, even though I live in Sydney. I previously experienced a similar call, and my landline did not go down, making this seem unreliable.

I received a voicemail indicating that a certain service would be unavailable on a specific day and during particular hours. However, this number starts with 03 and I am located in New South Wales. The voicemail included multiple numbers to click for more information, but I chose not to engage with any of them.

P

This call came from a number claiming to be Telstra. However, according to Telstra's official policy, they do not make unsolicited phone calls. When will our politicians take action to combat and stop these scammers?

B

I've been receiving frequent calls reporting outages and urgent NBN (National Broadband Network) work that seemed suspect.

C

The number called me, but I did not pick up, as it seems suspicious to me. I do not welcome unsolicited calls, leading me to believe it might be a scam.

It is a telstra callback number.

Rang the sales team this morning to order broadband and transfer foxtel to them, didn't have the details I needed so got emailed a like to click for a callback.

Clicked the link and got this call within 10mins had the information ready from my previous call. Sorted my purchase and moving forward, very helpful. Possibly a recordable number so you can store it and assign a name.

They just non stop calling me since I purchase a prepaid card 2 weeks ago.... Called more than 10 times w sms++++++.

Vy annoying.

Had the same thing.1:30 in the morning I got a call back from telstra. Cunts.

C

Yep got 3 calls from this today, while I had my "no number displayed in outgoing calls" switched off during the heatwave and afternoon nap.

I rang the number back.... And because my number wasn't "registering" on their network, and I would NOT verbally tell my number to a Telstra robot, I got a message to call another Telstra number...

132200..... and since I am totally opposed to Telstra - the idiots running it, and working in it and their robot answering machines, I just hit the 0# option multiple times, until I got through to another Telstra Phillipino "foreign call centre".......

To be passed around and around and around and around.....

And around and around and around.

And around and around and around.

It seems that these morons are totally incapable of dealing with "Hi I am getting a call from (03) 8619 - 7779. It's a Telstra number. Why are you calling me?".

Retards.

But what they DO do, is gather data about you, and hand it on, every time they do a transfer.....

And it turns out that this number is "(03) 8619 - 7779“ is actually “Telco Services Australia” - who have been HIRED by the management of Telstra, to push MORE of Telstra products and services.

OK I hired Boost Mobile (now owned by Telstra) and, they gave my number, without my consent to “Telco Services Australia”, who start calling me, to push more of Telstras bullshit onto me....

NOT OK.

1.30am in the morning this number rang! I did ask for Telstra callback today. But I know that operator is genuine. And I asked around 5pm with Telstra guarantee to call within 2 hours! It was 8.5 hours until this number called. Weird hard to decipher message. Something like "3 to stop me calling back". I'll talk to Telstra about this.

Calls long enough to register and hangs up.

E

J

Telstra callback - requested a callback, and it came from this number.

THis number calls my mobile just long enough to have the number recorded and then hangs up. The fact this number can be found here is highly indicative of a scam being used by International scammers using IT phones to locate and record numbers they can call to market their wares to. We've been called on 4 of our company's phones displaying this number. Call them back at your peril.
