What’s with the $349.99 Bitcoin charges?
I’ve received a call from this number from an indian woman in a busy call centre posing as a fraud detection specialist from PayPal. Every time I’ve got a call from these scammers, and reading other people’s reviews, the scammers all seem to use the same dollar amount of $349.99. I don’t do Bitcoin or PayPal so I’m intrigued as to why they all use this amount. Anyway, after I could decipher this woman scammer said Pay Pal, Bitcoin and $349.99, I just hung up on her and blocked her number. Sick of these scammers.

I also got a call from an indian woman from.
PayPal fraud. She said her name was Pamela, but it soon changed to Karen. (She must have forgotten what name she originally used). Pamela / Karen claimed that a guy called Chris Jones in Amsterdam had hacked into my PayPal account for Bitcoin at $349.99. Told her that was utterly ridiculous and then she started swearing and yelling at me. I yelled back at her, hung up and blocked the number.

Indian female with really thick accent who claimed to be “Pamela” from PayPal Fraud just called me from a busy call centre. She reckoned she was from.

“Karen” claimed that a male called Mark Williams in Germany had hacked into my PayPal account to buy Bitcoin on 2 occasions, with both charges at $349.99 each.
Asked her if she knew my name and she replied that she did, so I asked her to address me by name.
Said she wasn’t allowed to for privacy reasons and for privacy purposes, I needed to give her the following:
My full name.
My email address.
My phone IP address.
My credit card number.
Name on credit card.
Expiry date.
Security number on back of card.
The name of my bank.
My PayPal account balance.
I have never used PayPal in my life.
She also asked me if I had received any other calls from PayPal about other fraudulent charges as she could see there were several more.
I told her I wasn’t going to entertain her and if she was calling about my account, she should at least know my name.
She then started yelling and swearing at me, calling me a f*king bitch. I could hear others in the background screaming obscenities at what I assume to be people they had called.
Hung up & blocked.
