Some heavy accented guy called Richard claimed I had fraudulent charges on my pay pal account. Apparently someone in Texas had attempted to purchase some bitcoins. Richard asked me if I had given my password to anyone. I said no. He said he needed my email address and password so he could put a hold on my account.

Told him no way. He then said he was sending me a text message and I had to read out the code. Again told him no. He then started screaming at the top of his voice at me saying “you are a stupid f*king bitch, I will get you”

I hung up and blocked the number.

Had a call from a guy claiming to be from PayPal.

Told me there was a flagged fraudulent transaction for bitcoin for $349.99.

    Told him that was impossible.

Told me I needed to give him my email address.

    Told him no.

He then said he would send a code via text message.

I told him I was not interested and that I was not going to give him the code (I didn’t receive one)

He then started yelling and swearing at me, calling me a f+cking bitch several times.

    Male had Indian accent.

Could hear a lot of chatter in the background.

    Hung up and blocked.

Apparently my non existent PayPal account has been hacked for several $349.99 Bitcoin charges. A male with Indian or african accent who called himself Richard Pauza needed my email address to block the charges. Told him no, I don’t give out my email address. He then screamed at me: listen here you f@cking prick you need to f@cking give me your email address now or there will be troubles for you”. I told him to f@ck off and hung up and blocked the number. I could hear a lot of yelling in the background. Like a call centre, and seemed the people were not giving out their email addresses as they were pretty much screaming what Richard Pauza was yelling at me.

Caller identified himself as Richard from PayPal and was advising me that my account had been compromised and they had discovered a fraudulent charge for $349.99 for Bitcoin.

    (I don’t have a PayPal account)

He said to quickly remove this charge, I needed to read him an email they had sent me. But before I was to read the email, he needed my email address. I said “I thought you said you had just sent me an email” he said “take this seriously and tell me your email address linked to your PayPal account”

I made up a fake email address as janet.jackson@hotmail (a Janet Jackson song was on my tv at the time:-D)

He then said it wasn’t corresponding to the email address they had on file. I then said “well why are you asking me for my email if it doesn’t correspond? My name is Janet Jackson and it’s the only email I have.

At this point I could hear a lot of call centre noise in the background and they were all yelling obscenities.

He then said “I’ve sent you a 6 digit code to your phone via text, can you read it out?”

No message came through, but I made up a fake 6 digit code.

He told me it was incorrect and I had to give him the code. I repeated the fake number. He then started yelling at me to give him the real code.

I then remembered I had a whistle near by and blew it really loud into the phone.

He then got extremely aggressive and yelled “give me your code now you f*king bitch”

I blew the whistle again, hung up on him & blocked the number.
