Pretended to be Telstra and saying I have been hacked through home internet and I need to give them access to my phone and download apps to stop the hackers. Answered phone and was met with the typical pause before someone started talking. The scammer said they were calling from PayPal security and they knew my surname, so clearly going through a list of stolen details sold on the dark web. I tried to string them along to waste their time but I think I over-acted when I said 'oh no, why are you calling me??' and they just hung up on me. Shame I couldn't waste the scumbag's time any more than that...
