This is a scam caller who claimed to be from PayPal. They asked me for the code that I had received via text message, saying it was necessary to prevent my account from being hacked. However, it was actually my password reset code. I played along for about five minutes before they hung up on me.
The caller claimed they were from PayPal, stating there was suspicious activity on my account. When I expressed my doubts, they became rude and aggressive.
A person with an Indian accent claimed to be from Amazon, stating that I had made an unusual purchase yesterday. I hung up before they could provide more details. This appears to be a scam.
I received a scam call claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank, stating there was an $1800 transaction on my debit card just moments ago. They asked me to press 1 or 2 to either approve or cancel this transaction. When I remained silent for a few seconds, they hung up on me.
I received a call from this number that appeared to be from Melbourne.
