Impersonating PayPal - I don't even have an account.
It's amusing how quiet they go when I tell them that.
I like to have fun with them sometimes... So if you're sure it's a scam, and they ask if you've just made a PayPal transaction for whatever amount, tell them that, yes, you have, and it's nothing they need to concern themselves with. They don't have a script to respond to that and will just umm and aah and fumble an attempted response....
Had a call this morning from this number. The lady said she was from PayPal and wanted to know if I made an overseas transaction of $1,800. When I said no she said I need to verify you so I can put a stop on your account.
I said I was not comfortable giving any information to her as she could be anyone. Whilst she was telling me to trust her, I logged in to my PayPal account and saw no such activity. I then told her I knew this was a scam and she hung up.
