I received a missed call from this number and decided to look it up on Reverse AU for more information. I still don't have clarity on its legitimacy.
Scam caller, Some Indian Woman called me up saying she was from commbank. Clearly new to the scam business I don't think she was fooling anyone.
I received a call from a scammer who claimed to be an Indian woman from Commonwealth Bank discussing a transaction. I found her story laughable and hung up immediately.
This number has called me twice this afternoon, with just under a minute between the calls. I received two missed calls and when I tried to call back, I was met with a strange, metallic-sounding engaged tone. Typically, calls from numbers in the (03) region or Victoria raise my suspicion. I recommend stringing them along for as long as possible to waste their time, then asking for their number and claiming you'll call back. They tend to hang up at that point. Classification: Likely a Scam.
My phone flagged this number as a potential fraud, so I chose not to answer the call.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from "Telstra." Based on my instincts, I believe this might be a scam.
The caller claimed to be from ANZ Bank, which I do not use, and was inquiring about a transaction on my ANZ credit card. I believe this to be a SCAM.
I generally avoid answering calls from unknown numbers, and when this number called and hung up without leaving a message, it confirmed my suspicion that it was likely a scam.
Scammer call! In Chinese the robocaller said "Budafeng Telecom reminds you that your mobile phone number will be forcibly shut down in two hours." I of course do not use this chinese carrier and considering it is Australian number they are spoofing from, why would they even bother!
