The phone number 03 6130 4388 has been reported by users as a telemarketing scam aimed at impersonating telecommunications services. Learn how to handle calls from this number to protect yourself.
The phone number 03 6130 4388 has recently garnered attention as a potential scam or spam number, particularly from users claiming distress over receiving repeated calls. Based on several reports, this number appears to be linked to aggressive telemarketing tactics, particularly associated with claims of offering telco services, such as new modem installations purportedly for enhanced internet connectivity.
One major red flag comes from a report where the caller seemingly claimed to be from Optus, peddling a deal on "high-speed" internet. This aligns with a common scam technique whereby individuals receive unsolicited calls from personas feigning to represent legitimate companies, which often results in the collection of personal information or premature commitments to dubious offers.
According to user feedback, the call experience reveals a definitive pattern:
- Frequent hang-ups and the lack of voicemail messages after a call.
- A continual influx of calls over short periods, propelling complaints of nuisance from anxious recipients.
- A scripted approach, characteristic of overseas call centres—notably, users have voiced suspicions about the legitimacy of the claims regarding their origins.
Given these findings, it's fair to classify 03 6130 4388 as a telemarketing scam designed to impersonate legitimate telecommunications offers, raising concerns over data protection and privacy. This modus operandi is common among scammers who aim to exploit unsuspecting individuals by masquerading as credible service representatives.

Thanks. I'm getting atleast 3 nuisance calls a day again at the moment:(
I received calls that showed 'Tasmania' as the origin but no voicemail was left. The calls keep coming, and I suspect that the origin may not be genuine.
I received a spam call from an overseas call center that claimed to be from Optus. They were offering a new modem for what they described as "high-speed" internet.
I didn't answer and they left no message. I called back and there was a recording about a telco offer.
I'm extremely frustrated with the constant barrage of calls from scammers. These nuisance calls are putting stress on me financially as I'm struggling to make ends meet and cannot afford to deal with these scammers.
