    Scam number.

    Missed the call and called back to hear an Indian guy say they are from Amazon.

    Have no current orders with Amazon and when inquiring about a purchase they hung up.

    Typical shitbag scammers as usual.

    Was called and they said I had an Amazon prime subscription do I want it to be cancelled?

    When I said I didn't have one they said someone was scamming me and I had to fill in a form.... Seems dodgy to me.

    Be careful.

    Noticed this number calling from Tasmania, I don’t know anyone from Tasmania. So I let it go, if it’s important they would leave a message. Voicemail left was “firm $199 kindly call us 613612425534 or press 1 to speak with our agent to cancel the order.” They did not identify who they were. I have not ordered anything. This is a scam. I will block this one to. I had a call from a Perth number 22 March with the same voicemail left and same voice to but the $ amount was higher in that one.

    Spam. They left a voicemail of a robot voice saying a random string of numbers and then asking me to press a number to cancel an order, that's it. Will be blocking this one.

    Got a call from this number immediately stating something had expired, I hung up. Calling the number back, it was answered by a person with a strong accent and very shortly after it was clear this was a scam. Hung up and blocked.

    Rang this number back after I got 2 missed called. Said "Thank you for calling Amazon Prime. Then asked if I wanted to proceed with my $109.99 Amazon prime subscription. A subscription I already have and it is not for that much. When I asked them to cancel that request they said I would have to fill out forms to cancel it. I'm blocking this number, just changed my Amazon password just in case.

    Received a call from this phone number earlier this morning but when answered they hung up. Just called that number back and was answered by a male person with Indian or Pakistanian accent who stated 'Thank you for calling Amazon how can I help you'. When questioned whether they were in Tasmania (which I believe the telephone number was they hung up. Interesting?

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
