It's beneficial for people to report these scams here to warn others, but ultimately this does not address the root problem. The only way to compel action is by persistently contacting the relevant authorities to the same extent that scammers annoy us. If these organizations recognize it as their issue, they will respond; otherwise, it will continue to be our burden.

I have been receiving daily calls this week from someone claiming to be "Christy," who turns out to be an AI Bot conducting a survey about my interactions with charities. I’ve hung up on the calls repeatedly, but they just keep calling back. It is incredibly frustrating!

Didn't recognize number, no message left.

I'm reporting this unknown number that called my landline today. I didn't answer because I didn’t recognize the number. I’m not surprised to see it has already been reported, especially considering the number of complaints regarding this scam number.

I answered an initial call from this fake "03" number, thinking it was a friend or family in Victoria. I told them no and now they continue to call multiple times a day and night without ending. I'm frustrated because the "Do Not Call" register hasn’t helped at all—what can we do to stop these nuisance calls?

I keep receiving calls from the number 09 5676 2000, and I want to know how to stop these scam calls.

This is a scam for sure - nobody answers the phone if you call back and they obviously have auto-dial. I get calls every few hours (same time, every day and night - FOUR TIMES!) but don't know how to have the scam number blocked.

G

I completely agree with previous reports regarding this number. It appears to be a suspicious caller that frequently alters a few digits of their number to avoid detection. They never leave a message and seem to easily bypass the "do not call" registry. This is definitely a nuisance caller and should be reported to the authorities and telecommunications companies for abusing the network. I have blocked this number.

They called but did not leave a message, and I cannot return the call. Their website is difficult to use for contacting them, and I want to tell them: please remove my number from your call list and stop wasting donations on individuals who are not interested in contributing.

This number continuously calls me and never leaves a message. It's just another nuisance call adding to the hundreds of other unwanted calls we receive, which I consider an invasion of our privacy. I've now blocked this number.

My phone rang several times before I answered. However, as soon as I picked up, the call ended with no sound from the caller. After seeing other reports, I now believe this to be a scam call.

This number is associated with an offshore criminal group that is falsely posing as a charity organization to scam people.

C

I received a call from a number listed as being from Warrigal, Victoria. After a brief pause, which I associate with scam calls, a woman identified herself as Kristie from something called Charities Prime. Her voice sounded automated or generated. I informed her that I am on a do-not-call list, but she continued her pitch. Eventually, I hung up and blocked the number as I suspect this is a scam.

H

I received a call from this number but chose not to answer since I don't respond to calls from unfamiliar numbers. If more people with caller ID followed this practice, perhaps these random calls would eventually decrease over time.

I keep getting calls from the prefixes "5616" and "5615" multiple times a day, averaging about two calls daily. I answer, remain silent, and they hang up within a couple of seconds. I suspect this is part of a charity scheme that is very likely a scam.

They call me repeatedly, changing just one digit in their number each time. It’s a charity caller, but it's actually a scam. Since they claim to be a charity, I can't block them through the Do Not Call Registration even though I'm already on that list. Thankfully, my phone recognizes these calls as potential scams and automatically flags them.

A female caller reached out to me and mentioned the name Cartwright. I found this suspicious and have blocked the number.
