This call was from an individual posing as an Indian Telstra representative. They attempted to access my emails and log into both my Telstra and VicRoads accounts, indicating a possible phishing scam.
Scammer saying they are from Telstra, going on about 50% off my bills for 6 months, tried to get email info out of me.
It appears that this caller is an Indian scammer claiming to represent Telstra and offering internet services at half price. I do not trust this call.
2nd time they have rung me. Says she is with the National Broadband Network and my service needs upgrading to fibre into the house. Thing is I had it done a month ago. Definitely a scam. Number comes up as from Bakery Hill Ballarat but if you ring back you get a recording from Diamond Plaza.
Pretends to be from Telstra and sends a Microsoft reset code to your mobile and utilised old publicly available details to offer a 50% off your bill if you give the fake verification code.
Suppposedly from Telstra. Highly suspicious! Asking for an email address. But Telstra have my email address!!
