Seems legit, was skeptical and ignored them at first. they're persistent, but explained they were after my insurance info so I can be represented. They didn't seem enthusiastic about having to call me either, they preferred to speak to my insurer regarding an accident I had. Once I gave my insurance details I stopped getting calls from them.

Called me on behalf of another driver I had an accident with. They wanted to speak with my insurer, so I gave them my claim number and left it at that.
I got a call just after I lodged a claim on a minor accident. Thanks to the reviews, I now know NOT to call back. I shall let my insurer know as well.
Have received over 4sms from CJ and associates indicating they rang even though the phone did not ring. They have given me a reference number to quote. I to was in a simple accident that has been resolved through insurance. Did anyone use the cab service available from there insurer after droppong the car off at repairers? I have not responded and will contact my insurer.
I received a call from Charles John Associates today 2 days after a very minor accident. I requested an email be sent confirming the conversation. The email came from Acorn rentals. The guy had told me I was to pay for a hire car while the 3rd party had repairs done!!!
The exact same thing as the below has happened to me.
Please report the incident to your insurance company.
I believe they will try to scam you by pretending to represent the 3rd party you were involved with.
They new the date of the incident and the first name of the 3rd party.
12 hours after a minor car accident my wife was called by Charles John and Associates, seeking "information" ... asked why they needed information but didn't get a reasonable reply, so referred them to the insurance company if they had any other queries.
Wondering where they get their information from - we had reported to our insurer only the prev evening.

Shortly after my daughter had had a car accident, she was contacted on her mobile phone. She missed the call the first time but was contacted several times over the last few weeks. No idea, how they got her number (scary!) but I told her not to answer the call. I looked up the company name and checked the ACN number. Nothing comes up under the ACN number. There is no ABN number. They advertise to help with debt. I would recommend not to answer or call back.

This is a number that Acorn Rentals use to threaten people for money after vehicle collisions - even when the person being threatened was not at fault. Fake notices to sue in court. Forward this nonsense onto your insurance company, or talk to a motorist association for advice (RAA, RACQ etc). Don't talk to Acorn, don't pay any money.
Had a call from this number today supposedly acting on behalf of the halfwit that smashed into my car asking if I would pay for her to have a hire car whist her car was getting fixed. What a joke. She hit me.
