What Our Users Reviewed
Got a call saying there was an "activity" on my NAB account, but here’s the kicker—I don't even have one! Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
This number rang me up but didn’t bother to leave a message. Classic telemarketer move, if you ask me!
The caller said that they were from card verification and that had been several unusual charges to my debit card from Amazon and eBay with the charges made interstate. When I asked which card they were talking about the caller said he could not give me that information but it was on my debit card. He asked me to give him the first 6 digits of my card and he would look it up to tell me which card it was. I said I was not willing to give him that information and he became quite angry and tried to convince me I could provide the information. In the end he said he would get his manager. I spoke to a female who said she was the manager from card verification services. When I asked what organisation she was from she didn't answer that but said she could help me if I provided my card number to her. I asked her again and she said Westpac. As I don't have any Westpac accounts or cards I ended the call.
