Absolute scam call spoofing a real AU number!! I have received calls from this number several times, always late at night even on Christmas eve.
Caller is claiming to be from a cyber crime private investigator in relation to anti money laundering investigation on a crypto platform. The caller wouldn't tell me the platform name, any information about the investigation or the company they were investigation or any details about the company he was calling from. He was only insistent on asking me questions and saying if I didn't answer then any accounts associated with the investigation would be frozen.
21/12.2022 I received a call from this number.02.9098 4207, and the caller claimed she was calling from the Cryber Crimes Watchdog Unit. I asked her where she obtained my number and she went on about a cyber crime. I asked again and then asked her is she was going to lie. She said No, but couldn't think of an honest answer to tell me, so she hung up. I have tried several times to call her back but the call is ended immediately each time. Scam.
