What Our Users Reviewed
07/11/22 Caller straight away said ‘I’m Michael, do you live at”. I interrupted and said “who are you?” He said “I’m Michael from (some Solar company)” I hung up.
This caller called my mobile today 7/11/22 claiming that they worked for a power company and assuring me I owed money for power at an address that was my deceased grandmothers for 65 years. She had sold the home two years ago and the property was never in my name as her grand daughter - I can only assume they had connected our unusual last names and wanted me to flip the bill for her electricity that did not exist, was never in my name and for a property that has not been owned by our family in two years.
I very quickly confirmed that I had never lived at the address and stated that the scam was not going to work given the very obvious holes in their attempt and the calling quickly got aggressive saying 'you think you're so smart' to which I stated I would report the number and hung up.
