Got a scam text allegedly from the Commonwealth bank asking to call this number. It doesn't appear to be a legitimate Commbank number, don't call.
The text was:
Comm-Bank: A login was made from.
Location: Auckland, NZ. If this was NOT.
You, please contact us urgently on.

Received a SMS at 1.10 pm today (30 January 2023) as follows from showing number 132221 (Commonwealth Bank's general personal banking enquiries):
"Comm-Bank: A login was made from location: Auckland, NZ. If this was NOT you, please contact us urgently on +61290617005. REF:NA9390".
What a callous scamming! Please note, CBA doesn't send such SMSs. The poorly written SMS also indicates that it's a scam. And finally, never call that number (61290617005). If you want to check with CBA, call them on 132221. But you don't need to. Simply ignore it.

Uhhh yeah, nice try. CommBank don’t write their name like that, nor format their messages so poorly.
Received a text message supposedly from ANZ bank about an attempted login on my account. Number it came from looked like an ANZ number, but this was the number to call back on. Checked with ANZ and this is a scam. Do not call.
Just for the record, received an SMS re a supposed $235 purchase from MWAVE, which purported to be from the Bendigo Bank. We've made no such purchase, so obviously yet another scammer.
???? Spoofed phone number. Starting that they were PayPal calling and that a purchase had been made for a gift card and did I want to continue with the purchase. They wanted me to click on an email they were going to send. Do not accept this call.
