This number contacted me claiming to be from eBay, discussing a potentially fraudulent transaction involving a gift card worth $299.99. The automated introduction was quite obvious that it was not a legitimate call tailored for an individual.

Typical scam - you can hear it connect on their end after you say “hello”

Claiming from Telstra - needed me to check my speeds then wanted me to then tell him the speeds because apparently our speeds have been down the last few days.

I told him he should know the speeds but he said he wouldn’t tell me because of privacy.

We don’t use Telstra as our internet provider, and I’m not the account holder (I’m the secondary holder lol)
