Scam call to phish for details. Impersonating Commonwealth Bank.
Definite sammers - Called from this number to my mobile - knew my name. Some sort of Banking scam - claiming to be checking the validity of an overseas originating transaction to buy Bitcoin! Started saying they were CommBank then said Visa/Mastercard working for all banks- chatted for a while, then "transfered" me to another guy, Even after I told him they were scammers he just passed me back to his mate! Meanwhile I checked separately there was nothing actually wrong with my accounts then said goodbye. Playing quite a long game - don't give us our card details etc etc, but did want to know the account brand name - after their guess didn't work. I guess that is why its called phishing - want you to get worried enough to volunteer I suppose.
