    First call from 0290371240 today. Called it back and got 'Robbie from RPS', sounded like an Indian call centre.

    Most concerning is that in the last 4-5 weeks I have had a flurry of these types of calls. Numbers are, and reverse call back:

    0290371240 (RPS).

    0730598637 ('not in service').

    0730598638 ('not in service').

    0390018141 (RPS).

    0734440087 ('not in service').

    Sounds like an insurance company, they call me everyday but don't leave a message. Probably system generated call hence no answer when you pick up.

    I also got missed calls from these numbers.02 9037 1240.02 9037 1309 and 03 9001 8141. They didn't leave a voice mail message either. I'm glad I came here before calling them. I think I'll just ignore in the future.

    I had 5 missed call in just a few days. You cannot call back and it seems many other people have similar problems. It must be an Indian call center trying to sell you insurances. Very very annoying.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
