Called and I answered. There was no response. Avoid at all cost.
02 8530 7772 pretending to be from Telstra. Internet info publicly exposed yada yada. Fishing for info on how I use the internet, banking, shopping blah blah. No way buddy, I dint use internet, you must have the wrong number, byeeeeee. Blocked.

John? Called twice claiming to be from Telstra. Apparently Telstra is monitoring my computer and found it has been badly compromised and is being used by bad actors from overseas. On the second call he was very indignant that I had hung up on him on the first call. He claimed to be from TELSTRA headquarters.
I suggested that if this is a genuine TELSTRA call they contact the overseas actors and sort this out. I hung up again and surprise, surprise, no more phone calls.

The usual bollocks-my computer has been compromised and is being used by bad actors from overseas. When I asked him who he thought he was speaking to he gave my husband's name (who is listed under his initials). Not very plausible scam call-delete and move on.
