A man with an Indian accent called me, pretending to be from the Commonwealth Bank. He requested that I participate in a survey, which raised my suspicions about the legitimacy of the call.
Call came through on my work phone, but I've never shared the number. Obviously a scammer, as all my work contacts use teams or skype to chat.
No message left: scam call.
Since I recently changed my phone number and have given it to no one, it is alarming that this number called me. I didn't answer since there should be no calls to my new number. The call rang for four times before hanging up, leading me to believe it must be a scammer tracking new numbers.
A caller from this number with poor English tried to tell me my eBay account had been compromised & they needed my personal details to confirm if the transaction was real. I don’t have an eBay account so hung up.
