I have received two calls within two days, with the caller claiming there is an issue with my internet connection. When I told them I wasn't experiencing any problems, they just hung up.
A caller pretended to be from the Commonwealth Bank and asked me to authorize a payment from another device. I became suspicious and started asking questions, at which point the caller hung up.
Said he was from Commbank and do I authorise $800 to be sent to James Mead in USA. I told him I don't bank with Coommonwealth and he hung up.
A scam caller has identified herself as an employee from Commonwealth Bank and is attempting to acquire sensitive bank details from the recipient. Please exercise caution and do not provide any personal or financial information.
Said he was from the National Broadband Network & wanted to upgrade my line to Fibre - which I knew was a load of BS.
Went along with them for over half an hour - waiting to boot my pc - then reboot & load Anydesk or.
Teamviewer - having problems all the time - finally I gave in & asked them to call me back later on.
Which they haven't done yet.
I enjoy leading them on - at least someone more vulnerable isn't getting scammed that way.
Just now, I received a cdll from the above number.
I have a strong feeling this number is a fraud and/or a scammer.

The caller referred to a credit card and an amount of $800 sdnt overseas from myself.

This is a scam call. The caller was trying to gain access to my computer.
I received a call claiming to be an eBay confirmation, but it was clearly a scam. I have since blocked and reported this number.
This call was from a scammer who pretended to be from the NBN, claiming there were issues with my internet connection and my NBN box. They seemed to be trying to gain remote access to my computer.
Told me they were from Telstra, asking me my email address, asked me how was my service was going, I asked them to email me the details as I was driving they wanted me to pull over and open my Telstra app.
Just answered the call to this number. Indian chap claiming to be from visa AND mastercard internet security. LOL. I cussed him out and hung up.
It rang then cut out number listed but when return call cuts out immediately -the number the scam called has only been listed listed on seek and wierdly (with phone llinks)recently -otherwise before this time I have never got scam calls.
Did not leave message. Unable to return call. Unsolicited.
I tried to return the call to this number, but it was busy, which raises my suspicion about their intentions.
I believe this is a scam call because they are requesting my bank details.
