This phone number is a a legit spam. Pretending to be a ANZ bank or Commonwealth bank. Last few months later, I politely answer the caller of this phone and present himself from ANZ Bank. The next 2 months later, same number called me(he presented himself from commonwealth bank). Same voice and same person of the caller but different caller. Now, he called me up again, introduced himself as from commonwealth bank(he told me that commonwealth bank will be making changes on my bank account. I knew it was a lie. My response was, I will go to the bank and make changes there. He insist he can do it for me. I insisted I will do it at the branch were I go. At the end, he told me that 'I am an idiot doing that'..... Which made me mad and come to conclusion that either this is a phishing or scam marketing.

After this call, I called my bank on their desired number to confirm the call of that person. My bank agent said that sure there are changes in my bank details. Thus, I can do it myself online. My bank says that they will send me email instead of calling people. Calling people on mobile phone are scammers and warn me to be careful.

Appeared to be a scam - someone calling saying a large amount of money had attempted to be sent from my bank account. Began telling me different “dangerous” people’s names to be careful of and refused to give me a telephone number to return his call on to provide answers to security questions, as I stated I don’t do this on a random number someone has called me on.
