Scam call from someone in a very busy area - lots of background noise. Man contacting me about my Telstra internet connection - I am not with Telstra.
Received a call from this number today. Asked me if I transfer 400 dollar to someone in US from CBA. I do send money to US recently. So I asked 'from which account?' He stopped as he did not know.
Just received a call from this number, first claiming to be calling from commonwealth bank, then when I said that I don't have a commonwealth account, they changed their story to be some other company. Wanting to know whether I had made a transaction of a suspicious amount to someone named James Williams in Pennsylvania. Continued to ask me whether I would like to cancel this suspicious transaction, to which I replied anything but the word 'YES', which I can only assume he was fishing for. Can scammers such as this really get away with your voice saying the word yes to identify and scam us?
Claiming to be commonwealth. Unsophisticated scam call.
The call was identified as a suspected scam, but no voicemail message was left for further context.
