They've called me a few times already about those "job courses". It's so annoying because there's a lot of companies doing this now. I've already blocked this caller and yet they STILL leave me voice mails. They sound hella desperate ....
Definitely an 'education' provider looking to make money off job seekers that sign up for courses in the hope of finding better or desired work. I believe it is associated with applications via expr3ss. Com (the T&Cs you agree to state: sers consent to Expr3ss! And the Service Provider using and disclosing any information provided or submitted by the User via the Expr3ss! Site and Expr3ss! Services, including any Personal Information, for the purpose of providing the Expr3ss! Site and Expr3ss! Services to the User, and for the purpose of offering the User goods and services.). The government subsidises a substantial portion of the course costs. These providers abuse the system by signing up as many people as possible to earn money for each student. Nothing is free! You will be signed up for the course in your name and all fees will be payable by you! Just hang up! Don't listen to the spiel, if it's too good to be true it almost always is.
I got a call last week. I got excited because I actually thought it was about a job interview, only to be offered a course. I told him I wasn't interested if it wasn't for an actual job that is on offer. They rang again today, so I didn't answer. Depressing when you are waiting for genuine calls about jobs.
Yes, confirmed, probably (I haven't taken the call) some institute providing a course with a VET-fee rebate or sth. I have had quite a few of these lately. It's definitely a marketing call as it originates from Sydney and I live in Melbourne! Cheers, Jack.
Pretty sure this is a number for "One Shift" or a similar job agency that offer courses to study and searches for a job in that field of industry for you. The whole, study now pay later speach. Not 100% certain on them so I always let the call ring out now.
Got a missed call from this number. I didn't recognise it and after seeing other comments on here I'm glad I missed them. A waste of time. I won't be calling them back. Thanks to everyone who left comments - very helpful.
I applied for Jobs and recieved a call from this number, curious n want yo make sure this is a genuine number to call back, Googled n after I read all above comment I feel better not.
I received a call, the lady I spoke to said she was from 'Bath Careers' based in NSW. I'm not a citizen so they couldn't offer me work...
Yes l applied for a job through a recruitment agency and it seems that they ring you every time and tell you that they can help you find a job and they can offer courses to help get a job. They make it sound good in one breath and then make you feel stupid in the next. It seems that there is a lot of recruitment places doing this now. Maybe they get payed for every person that they place in a course.
Got also a call after an application. They did not leave a voicemail message. Suspect, if it was actually a job. So it is probably a scam like the other ones say on this page.
I had applied for a job via a recruitment company and this number just called me claiming to be from a recruitment company and told me I could study a business diploma online and they'll search for work for me while I study? Sounded sus to me as they didn't sound like a recruitment company.
Not sure what they were about but pretty sure it was telemarketing...
Scam fake job.
