What Our Users Reviewed
I do not think that PayPal calls its users, and I firmly believe this is a scam. The robocall left a message claiming it was “Thank you for shopping with PayPal... etc., you have made a purchase request of $299.39." However, I did not make any purchase of this kind. I have blocked the number, although I've learned that blocking may not always work since scammers can spoof numbers.
I received a voicemail purporting to be from PayPal, stating that $299.39 was about to be charged to my account for an order. The caller asked me to ring back if I wanted to cancel the supposed charge. However, I know that PayPal doesn’t make such calls to confirm purchases, which raises serious red flags about this message.
I am concerned and curious if this number is indeed associated with PayPal, as I received some communication from it that felt legitimate.
I suspect this might be a scam call, as the caller claims to be a PayPal representative but seems untrustworthy.
