Received phone message from a JAMES ANDERSON stating I need to call him back immediately because I had been reported for tax evasion and I must contact this number immediately. He did not state my name or any other details. Definitely a scam.

This caller sounded Indian I received a phone call on my mobile this morning at 9.29am while driving, it went to missed call and they left a message stating the reason of this call is to inform you that we received a legal complaint under your name. Regarding a tax avoidance. I rang back and he said he was from the ATO and you have avoided paying taxes. You better have a solicitor as you are in a lot of trouble. I said what branch of ATO, his answer was don't worry you will be contacted tomoworrow and also swore at me. I said no you tell me now what I have done wrong. He said I know all your details. I said really you must be a Mr know it all. I said I think you are a scammer from Nigeria I will call the police on you..... Then he just hugged up. I rang the ATO and they re-assured me they were scammers, not real...... And they will take it from here.

James called me today - little did he know the ato is a client of mine.
