Sounds like it's started up again. Waiting for next call. Scammers don't get me. Mr jack gates.
Whilst we were away on holiday, David Millar from ATO harassed our daughter over a period of 3 days to the point where she unplugged the phone. The 3rd call from 'David' insisted that they had met at Christmas, that he was a friend and asked her out on a date! (the 2nd call was a breathing session and Hello) Calls continued at any time of day or night. Phone was then unplugged. I have his original message re tax fraud on answering machine. Beware! Creepy scammers!
2nd call in two days from Jack Gates - no names for us just a case against our names.
Also received a phonecall from "Jack Gates".
Exact same as outlined above. Called the business landline and did not ask to speak with anyone in particular. Rattled off information flat out and would not answer questions.
Did not call back.
Same ATO threat but different name. This time officer... Jay Dawson.
Time for the government to look intot his further.
SCAM Caimed to be ERIC Foster from ATO.
SCAM:
Received phone message from this phone number. A male voice with an American accent spoke, claiming to be:
"ERIC FOSTER from the head office of the ATO".
He did not say my name nor, any details about me.
His tone was stern and aggressive and, made several threats should I fail to return his phone call.
I HAVE NOT and, SHALL NOT RETURN HIS PHONE CALL because I briefly investigated, the following words, on the internet:
"eric foster australian tax office".
My internet search results confirmed that THIS PHONE CALL WAS A SCAM.
