Just received a phone call f(26/6/19) from this number from an individual (likely from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh per a VERY strong accent) who identified himself as a "Canberra Tax investigator" and who wanted me to provide him personal details.

He threatened failure to provide information would result in police action ... (OK we all know that's fabricated - thanks lately to the number of voice messages publicly aired in Coles and Woolworths.

I asked him where he was calling from : answer : Canberra.

Me : what address ?

Him : Main Street.

Me : I don't think so - the phone you are calling from is in Sydney.

Caller Hangs up.....

I didn't pick up but was left a bizarre message by these con artisits. Apparently I have a warrant for my arrest and I'm risking being executed if I don't call back! Something about time sensitive too but hard to understand the robotic digitalized voice. I wish I'd answered now as could have strung them along right back... I feel sorry for gullible people who get scammed by them.
